Belcampo Lodge strongly believes in delivering each guest with a personalized stay. By providing us with your specific dietary preferences, along with your desired activity levels, ages of any children, special occasions and other information, they will work with you to create a one-of-a-kind experience.

Punta Gorda is a destination where the primary objective is the PERMIT, 20 minutes sailing north lies a small system islands, fished the flats that surround them, width varies between 30m and 70m, mainly fished deep changes.

Season Year round

Perched above the Rio Grande River and just a short boat ride from the Caribbean Sea, Belcampo Belize is a fly fisher’s paradise. Cast for tarpon and snook on the river and in the mangroves, fish the flats for permit, or when the weather permits, head out to the white sand beaches of the Sapodilla Cayes for bonefish. The majority of fishing takes place in protected marine reserves and national parks.

Southern Belize is best known as a world renowned permit territory, and while most anglers who visit the region are intermediate to advanced, expert guides also accommodate beginners for a one-of-a-kind fishing experience. Belcampo’s guides are all local to the Southern Belize region and are happy to accommodate your fishing preference and style. They are extremely patient and professional and understand this is your trip. They have been guiding the waters of Punta Gorda, east to Sapodilla Cayes, and norht to Placencia for years.


Belcampo Lodge has 16 private suites offering the best in luxury and comfort. A testament to Belize’s natural beauty and craftsmanship, nearly every detail, from the woodwork to the tiles to the artwork, is sourced from local artisans. Whether you’re relaxing on one of the canopy beds or lounging on your own private veranda, you will experience the magic of the jungle within the comfort of your room.

Meals: The team provides an extraordinary level of dining each day with a menu that highlights Belizean flavors. The culinary experience starts each morning with a coffee or tea wake-up service upon request and continue through breakfast, lunch, daily afternoon snacks, and dinner. They have a standard breakfast and lunch menu; however, create a new dinner menu each night based on the availability of fresh produce. The team will cater to special dietary needs upon request and asks that guests provide us information prior to arrival so the kitchen can ensure to have the required ingredients. If you decide to go out for dinner during your stay, kindly let us know by mid morning of that same day. We are happy to provide you a list of local restaurants.

Bar: Rum Bar offers an extensive selection of farm fresh cocktails, house and premium liquors, wine, beer, and liqueurs.

Spa: Spa offers a range of holistic treatments and services in a tranquil environment. Massages may be requested in advance of your arrival if desired, or booked any time during your stay based on availability. You will need to book spa services at least 24 hours in advance. Shopping: To meet guests needs we have a small mercantile offering souvenirs, sundries, handicrafts, Patagonia clothing, toiletries, fly fishing flies and lines for Anglers and more are available for guests.

Internet: Wireless internet service is complimentary and available in the common areas of the Lodge – the Rum Bar and Lounge and Jungle Farm Restaurant. Although it is generally a reliable service, it is wireless and can, at times, be affected by adverse weather conditions.
Tipping: Tipping is a voluntary based on service. Usually 10% is acceptable with 15-20% for exceptional service. These can either be added to your bill or paid in cash. Normally guides and staff are tipped upon departure. Please note that there is a 10% service charge included on your meals, drinks, and room rate, which is divided amongst our lodge staff (includes dining, kitchen, front desk, housekeeping, guides, and maintenance).

Vaccinations: Malaria and Dengue fever are rare but present in Belize. Most visitors to Belize choose not to receive vaccinations but the choice is yours.


The packages listed include the respective number of fishing days with a professional guide, round trip Tropic Air flights between Belize City (BZE or TZA) and Punta Gorda, nightly accommodation, all meals, afternoon snacks, use of gym, laundry service, self-guided complimentary activities (kayaking/canoeing, mountain biking, onsite hiking), ground transfers between Punta Gorda airstrip and lodge, tax and service charge. Packages for any number of days fishing are available. For each day not fishing, please deduct $520 from the package price. Guests are encouraged to bring their own equipment; however, the lodge does have gear available on loan. Belcampo also has a fly shop on site stocked with flies, leaders, tippet, fly lines and other accessories.

DEPOSIT INFORMATION A 50% deposit (per angler) of the total package cost for each trip is due within 10 days of booking to secure the reservation. Guides and dates cannot be held or reserved without a deposit. Belcampo Lodge reserves the right to charge handling fees.
If cancellation is more than 60 days prior to arrival date, full refund less 4% credit card/lodge processing fee.
If cancellation is 30-60 days prior to arrival date, 50% of the entire value of booking will be refunded.
If cancellation is less than 30 days prior to arrival date, there will be no refund.
The unused portion of hotel and/or any part of the package plans and trips not taken by guest’s choice are not refundable. Trips cancelled or shortened as a result of inclement weather and/or acts of nature including hurricanes or due to airline delays, strikes or political unrest are not refundable. Belcampo Belize is not responsible for missed or delayed flights. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase medical, accident, luggage, emergency trip cancellation insurance.
